February 9th 2010 - Veteran parachutes in G2 wheelchairs for NHS
One legged 80 year old parachute jumps for cancer centre
Pensioner and World War II veteran, Colin Glew, leapt 14000 feet in a sponsored parachute jump to buy much needed wheelchairs for the NHS Rosemere Cancer Centre, Preston. Even more remarkable is Colin has just one leg!
Colin, from Goadsbarrow, Cumbria, said:" We wanted to show our appreciation to the Rosemere Centre because every time we went for treatment, we couldn't find a wheelchair. The lovely staff tried really hard to help!".
Colin's super sky dive raised funds to buy several G2 Wheelchairs from Dan Medica. Howard Plews M.D. said "We were delighted to help and absolutely full of admiration for what Colin has achieved."
The G2 Utility, a compact wheelchair, will be ideal for the Centre because it is strong, foldable and easy to use.

Sunny weather and the credit crunch seems to have encouraged local visitors
The latest range of hire wheelchairs are proving very popular, especially the new Ultra Lightweight G-Lite. The real advantage of the G-Lite is you don't need to be a bodybuilder to lift or carry this chair. The chair quickly folds into the boot of even very small cars, making it perfect for taking the elderly or infirm on quick trips to summer events or even a summer picnic!
May 20-25th 2009 - Amazing Manchester Weekend
It has been a fantastic few days here in Manchester at the BT sponsored Paralympic World Cup
One of the most exciting events to watch was the wheelchair basketball. The mens final was won by the USA over Australia and the Netherlands ladies beat Mexico ladies. The earlier rounds saw some very competitive games and some supreme ball skills from all the teams. Both the finals were high octane matches and even the audience was left breathless at the pace of the match
